Job summary

The Studio is seeking an Assistant Comp Team Coach at Touchstone Climbing's San Jose location. The role requires experience in bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing, plus the ability to teach and engage kids across varying ability levels.

You will contribute to high-quality training curriculum for Team Touchstone and collaborate with other coaches to create an exceptional team experience, ensuring safety and enjoyment in every session.

Qualifications

• Patience and passion for teaching kids of varying abilities and learning styles.
• Ability to create engaging curriculum and programming for Team Touchstone.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching Team Touchstone athletes to develop skills and teamwork.
• Support development and delivery of high-quality training curriculum.
• Collaborate with fellow coaches to ensure a cohesive and engaging team experience.
• Maintain safety and facility guidelines during all sessions.

About the Role

The Studio is looking for an Assistant Comp Team Coach with the following qualifications:

• Experienced in bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing.
• Sound understanding of climbing techniques such as footwork, body positioning, movement efficiency, route reading, etc.
• Has the patience and passion for working with kids at a variety of ability levels and learning styles.
• Brings a creative, fun approach to climbing instruction and curriculum; makes learning how to climb enjoyable and engaging.
• Interested in creating high quality training curriculum and programming for Team Touchstone.
• Excited to collaborate with other coaches to facilitate an exceptional team experience for our climbers.

Compensation

Starting Pay is $21/ per hour. Assistant Team Coach individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to; facility location and type, membership volume, experience, and job/position tenure.
