Job summary

Touchstone Climbing is seeking an Assistant Comp Team Coach for Dogpatch Boulders in San Francisco. The role focuses on coaching youth climbers across bouldering, top rope and lead routes, while building engaging curricula and programs.

The ideal candidate enjoys teaching kids, collaborating with coaches, and helping to elevate our Team Touchstone training through creative, high-quality instruction.

About The Role

Dogpatch Boulders is looking for an Assistant Comp Team Coach with the following qualifications:

• Experienced in bouldering, top rope, and lead climbing.
• Sound understanding of climbing techniques such as footwork, body positioning, movement efficiency, route reading, etc.
• Has the patience and passion for working with kids at a variety of ability levels and learning styles.
• Brings a creative, fun approach to climbing instruction and curriculum; makes learning how to climb enjoyable and engaging.
• Interested in creating high quality training curriculum and programming for Team Touchstone.
• Excited to collaborate with other coaches to facilitate an exceptional team experience for our climbers.

Compensation

Starting Pay is $21.50/hour. Assistant Team Coach individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to; facility location and type, membership volume, experience, and job/position tenure.
