Job summary

Apple is seeking a mechanical engineer to own the end-to-end design, development and validation of sensing technology for its product portfolio. You will work with a multifunctional team to generate concepts and provide engineering analysis and documentation for your project.

Responsibilities include evaluating design tradeoffs, applying experimental design methods, and ensuring manufacturability within cosmetic standards. Travel to vendor sites internationally may be 10–20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3D CAD experience required.
• Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, development and validation of sensing technology.
• Identify design tradeoffs and risks to choose viable paths forward.
• Run tolerance studies to ensure designs meet manufacturing tolerances.
• Support external vendors with process development and root cause analysis during testing.
