Job summary

Apple’s Touch ID Product Design team in Cupertino seeks a Mechanical Engineer to own end-to-end design, integration, and validation of sensing modules across product lines. You will bridge mechanical design, materials, packaging, and high-volume manufacturing to translate complex challenges into reliable hardware.

This role requires hands-on design, DOE-style experimentation, root-cause analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mechanical design, failure analysis, or product validation.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and drafting 2D technical drawings (GD&T).
• Structured root-cause methodologies and DOE experience for electromechanical issues.

Responsibilities

• Identify design solutions and inform final design.
• Lead cross-functional team through failure analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate path-to-closure on complex issues.
