One of The Sage Group’s clients is looking for a part-time Content and Learning Design Specialist, strong with B2B tech instructional design and copy writing. The client is a leading vendor in the agile software development and IT space.

Main Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Content & Learning Design Specialist to support researchers and transformation experts by creating educational materials that help employees and customers stay focused on high-impact work, scale knowledge, and adopt unified ways of working—making collaboration easy for any team.

This role requires a creative and iterative approach: synthesizing information from diverse sources to shape your work products, and leveraging your expertise in content and learning design to transform ideas into impactful learning experiences.

Job responsibilities:

  • You’ll create learning materials that help people and teams build better habits and improve how they work together.
  • Content & Learning Design: Create fun and interesting content to help people try out new ways of working. You’ll use a variety of formats including things like writing, infographics, virtual whiteboards, micro-learning experiences or creating interactive online activities.
  • Project management: Take charge of projects from start to finish, keeping everything on track with clear timelines and communication with team members.
  • Strategic Decision-Making: Use your knowledge and skills to make good choices about how to create and design learning materials that serve learners' needs while aligning with the business goals outlined by the team.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Gather ideas and feedback from colleagues with different types of expertise. Guide everyone through the process of creating content, making sure it aligns with goals and expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Gather and incorporate feedback from learners to continuously improve and refine the learning materials.

  • Proactive communication and proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • A roll-up-your-sleeves approach with a strong get stuff done mentality, independently tackling challenges and contributing to team success by pitching in wherever needed

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience/training required
  • 5-7 years related experience required in content design, learning design, or a related field
  • Experience in creating instructional content and learning interventions that drive behavior change and skill acquisition
  • Familiarity with teamwork and future of work topic areas or working within research-focused teams is a plus
  • Experience using Atlassian tools like Confluence, using various design and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Rise360), and prompt engineering for generative AI is a plus

Duration: 6 months with potential extension, 20 hours a week

Location: 100% remote in USA, but must live in Pacific or Mountain time

Compensation: $65-75 hour DOE

Portfolio Required: must show B2B tech internal instructional design, clearly stating which content you wrote
