Job summary

Prince William County Government's Office of Human Resources seeks an experienced HR leader to serve as Manager, Total Rewards Center of Excellence. You will oversee benefits, classification, and compensation and lead a small team in a public-sector setting.

The role blends strategic program design with day-to-day administration, compliance, and internal service excellence, influencing organization-wide Total Rewards programs and ensuring equitable, competitive, and compliant offerings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 7 years of progressive HR experience in benefits administration, compensation, classification and related Total Rewards work.
• 2 years in a supervisory capacity leading HR professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for employee benefits, leave, classification, and compensation programs.
• Oversee benefits administration, including medical, retirement, leave, and related programs.
• Lead classification and compensation activities, including job evaluation, pay-structure maintenance, market pricing, and benchmarking.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, operational guidance, and training materials for Total Rewards programs.
• Lead or contribute to major HR initiatives, transformation efforts, new systems or program implementations, and strategic workforce projects.
