National Interstate Insurance Company (NIIC) is hiring a Senior Claims Representative for Total Loss. The position supports a hybrid work model with on-site presence in Richfield, Ohio four days per week and one optional remote day.

Responsibilities include evaluating claims, investigating coverage, negotiating settlements, and maintaining detailed files. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in property and casualty claims, with Total Loss experience in commercial auto preferred, and seeks

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business-administration, risk management & insurance, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of property and casualty claims experience.
• Total Loss experience in Commercial Auto preferred.
• Progress toward professional designation (e.g., AIC) preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Manage an inventory of claims to evaluate compensability and liability.
• Plan and conduct investigations to confirm coverage and determine liability, compensability and damages.
• Determine and negotiate settlements and reserves within authority.
• May attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials.
• Convey complex information regarding coverage and settlements to insureds and external partners.
• Authorize payments within assigned authority and ensure timely processing.
• Maintain accurate claim files with all correspondence and settlement documents.
