Job summary

La Plaza Market in California is seeking a Tortilleria Department Supervisor with at least 5 years of retail management experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly preferred to lead inventory, pricing, and department profitability.

This role includes overseeing the buying/ordering process to meet quality standards, producing management reports, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, FDA, HACCP, and related regulations. Evening/weekend shifts may be required to support grocery operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of retail management experience.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) highly preferred.
• Safely use food handling and sanitation chemicals and equipment to maintain department cleanliness standards and comply with relevant regulations.

• Manage inventory and pricing to achieve targeted gross profit margin.

• Manage the buying/ordering process to meet La Plaza Market quality standards.
• Provide accurate, complete information in all management reports.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of, and ensure compliance with, relevant regulatory rules and standards, including OSHA, DOL, Health and Sanitation, FDA, Weights and Measures, ADA, and HACCP guidelines and flow charts.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of retail management experience required.
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) highly preferred
• Safely use food handling and sanitation chemicals and equipment to maintain department cleanliness standards and local, State and Federal agencies regulations and requirements.
