Job summary

El Super is hiring a Tortilleria Clerk at the #8 Phoenix store located on Indian School Road. The role focuses on friendly customer service, maintaining tortilla displays, and assisting in masa preparation with a fast-paced retail environment.

The position requires physical work, food handling certification, and the ability to stand, lift, and move items as part of daily duties. Training is provided to ensure safe food handling practices.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25–60 pounds.

The Opportunity
Under direct supervision, the Tortilleria Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean, fill and rotate tortilla displays, as well as assist making a variety of different tortillas and masa for the department.
The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
