Job summary

El Super is hiring a Tortilleria Clerk at the Camelback store in Phoenix, AZ. The role supports customer service, tortilla display visibility, and masa preparation, under direct supervision in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Candidates should be able to lift various weights and follow both written and verbal instructions while delivering excellent service to the community.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and colleagues.
• Apply common sense in following detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Tortilleria Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean, fill and rotate tortilla displays, as well as assist making a variety of different tortillas and masa for the department.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
