Job summary

El Super in Phoenix is seeking a Tortilleria Clerk to join Store Operations #19. Under direct supervision, you will provide friendly service, rotate tortilla displays and assist making tortillas and masa.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, good communication, and a customer-focused mindset. This is a fast-paced position within the El Super team, part of Chedraui USA.

Qualifications

• Read and understand simple instructions, pricing codes, labels and memos.
• Write simple correspondence and present information clearly.
• Lift and move up to 60 pounds occasionally; stand and walk for long periods.

Candidates should possess the ability to:

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.


• Write simple correspondence.


• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.


• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Tortilleria Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position will assist customers, clean, fill and rotate tortilla displays, as well as assist making a variety of different tortillas and masa for the department.

The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
