Vallarta Supermarkets is hiring a Tortillería Clerk to produce tortilla products and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced store environment. You will prepare masa, fry items, rotate stock, and ensure quality and safety standards are met while maintaining clean work areas.

Ideal candidates have a basic understanding of English and are willing to learn tortilla production from dry corn to finished product, with flexibility to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to transfer to other store locations within a reasonable commute.
• Basic understanding of English language.
• Familiarity with Tortillería equipment, tools, and ovens (or willingness to learn).
• Ability to learn tortilla production from dry corn to finished product.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Smile, greet, and assist customers with tortilla and specialty product orders.
• Production: Prepare masa, fry and cook tortilla products, and ensure consistency in quality, weight, and appearance.
• Merchandising: Stock, rotate, and replenish products; keep displays fresh, attractive, and at proper storage temperatures.
• Operations: Package, weigh, and label flour and corn tortillas; transport products to and from storage.
• Sanitation & Safety: Clean equipment and work areas; sweep, mop, and follow "clean as you go" practices.
