Job summary

Easy Foods in Kissimmee, FL is hiring for a quality control/assurance role. You will perform preoperational and daily inspections to ensure GMP compliance and that all products meet specifications.

You will verify packaging, labeling, and raw materials against product codes, and you will escalate deviations to supervisors and managers as needed. Responsibilities

• Perform preoperational inspections weekly after sanitation, to ensure sanitation system complies with specifications.
• Perform daily inspections every 12 hours to ensure GMP compliance with Easy Foods GMP policy.
• Ensure products are packaged according to product code specifications and labels are correct.
• Verify raw materials are used per product code specifications; notify supervisors of deviations.
• Monitor and verify metal detector performance per line as part of the Food Safety Plan.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and report quality or safety issues to management.
• Carry out other duties assigned by QC leads.

Job description

Pay: $18.00 p/h

Perform preoperational inspections weekly after the sanitation team has reported line cleaning as

finished and before the start of production, according to the maintenance and sanitation schedule

to ensure that the Sanitation System complies with the specifications. Perform daily inspections

every 12 hours to ensure that the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) complies with the Easy

Foods GMP policy.

• Ensure all products are packaged according to product code specifications.
• Verify that the corresponding raw material is used correctly, according to the specifications of

each Product Code. If you detect any deviation, you must immediately inform the Line Operator,

the Production Supervisor, the Production Manager, the Quality Control Supervisor, and the

Quality Control Manager.

• Verify that all the information on the labels of the finished product is correct and printed according

to the requirements of the customer's specifications.

• Verify that the properties and sensory characteristics of the tortilla, such as appearance, color,

cooking marks properly cooked, texture, taste, and smell, correspond to the characteristics of the

product.

• Place products on "Hold" that do not meet product specifications.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor
• Monitor and verify that the Critical Control Point (Metal Detectors) per line are working properly
• based on the Food Safety Plan (HACCP). Notify the Line Operator, Production Supervisor, and
• QC Manager immediately if it's not functionally properly.
• Ensure Standard Operating procedures are followed.
• Report any Quality, Food Safety or Safety issues to Quality and Food Safety Manager,
• Production Manager, General Manager, or VP of Operations.
• Other tasks assigned by QC leads

Skills:

• Associate degree in science related field and/or, 1 year in a quality control/assurance position in
• the food industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Available to work overtime and weekends, if required.
• Ability to multitask and stay focus in a fast-paced working environment
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others.
• Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, generates enthusiasm, builds effective working

relationships at all levels.

• The following physical activities are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job: extensive standing and walking on
• concrete surfaces, vision, hearing, speaking, climb and balance, and lift to 30 lbs. unassisted and
• 50 lbs. assisted.
• GFSI Standard Certification Training and/or HACCP training preferred.
