Job summary

Latitude 36 Foods is seeking a responsible QA/CGMP support in Salinas, CA. The role focuses on maintaining food safety, GMP compliance, and quality assurance across production and warehouse areas. Candidates should have at least 1 year in manufacturing and strong documentation skills.

Applicants must follow SOPs, work well under direction, and demonstrate basic MS Office proficiency. This position is on-site in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to follow SOPs and written/verbal directions.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with labeling tasks in Word.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping.
• Understand GMP and CCPs/SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to safety, food safety and GMP policies.
• Perform monitoring checks to ensure procedures and specs are followed.
• Conduct incoming goods, in-process and finished product inspections.
• Identify and report non-conforming goods or process failures.
• Perform/verify equipment calibration per procedures.
• Conduct daily GMP inspections in production and warehouse.
• Visually inspect and test equipment after sanitation.
• Manage and review COA/COC for incoming goods as needed.
• Perform additional duties as requested by FSQA Lead/Supervisor.

Pay Rate: $21.50/hr

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience manufacturing environment.
• Ability and willingness to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to receive written and verbal directions.
• Ability to understand general work processes.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
• Working knowledge of Word in a label-making capacity.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented, excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
• Responsible, reliable, and attentive to timelines.
• Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Familiarity and understanding of Critical Control Points (CCPs), SOPs and Quality Standards.
• Familiarity with ingredients, processes, and finished product disposition.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform monitoring checks as assigned to ensure compliance to established procedures, customer specifications and/or Work Order instructions.
• Perform incoming goods, in-process and finished product inspections in accordance with current procedures.
• Identify and report non-conforming goods or process failures to FSQA leadership.
• Perform and/or verify equipment calibration in accordance with current procedures.
• Conduct daily GMP inspections in production and warehouse areas.
• Visually inspect and test equipment and machinery post-sanitation activities.
• Assist in managing retained sample inventory.
• Monitor Critical Control Points.
• Ensure below standard raw materials and finished products are contained and removed from available inventory.
• Manage and review COA/COC for incoming goods as needed.
• Perform additional duties as requested by the FSQA Lead/Supervisor.

Physical Requirements

• Exposure to standard production environment
• Ability to lift 25 / 40 / 50 lbs
• Extended hours of standing and walking
• Ability to work in refridgerated environment.
• Normal vision, hearing sensitivity and manual dexterity is necessary in position.
