Job summary

The team covers Insurance Takeover (ITO), Pleadings and Representation Group (PRG), and Settlement Negotiator roles, handling insurance coverage, defense obligations, and timely pleadings for City employees and contractors.

Qualifications

• One year of civil litigation experience after graduating from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Excellent legal writing, interviewing, and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with City employees, agencies, and counsel.

Responsibilities

• Advise City agencies on defense responsibilities and manage high-volume, deadline-driven caseloads.
• Draft and file responsive pleadings and conduct legal/factual research.
• Assist in settlements, negotiate with insurers, and coordinate with outside counsel.
