Toros Heal L.A. (THLA) addresses the severe behavioral and mental health workforce shortage for children and youth by expanding and diversifying the pipeline of mental and behavioral health professionals, including a new paraprofessional entry route. It strengthens job pathways in local communities and builds a community-rooted workforce trained in culturally responsive care, enabling graduates to pursue successful careers with less debt, higher retention, and strong readiness to serve South LA and across the Los Angeles region.
This position is supported by a 5-year gift and is subject to annual reappointment. Toros Heal L.A. (THLA) is seeking a Practice Education Support Analyst (PESA) to join our Core team and assist with the management of THLA’s practice education placement and scholarship tracking system and the growth of THLA’s practice education partnerships.
The role oversees the internship and clinical placement platform, ensuring accurate tracking of student placements, training progress, and workforce outcomes to support program evaluation and reporting. In collaboration with academic programs, the position supports student workforce readiness and contributes to building sustainable workforce pipelines that connect students to careers serving children, youth, and families across LA County.
The PESA will perform independently or with general direction the onboarding and management of THLA’s practice education software (Exxat) as directed by the Director of THLA and/or Principal Investigator (PI). The PESA will coordinate the data collection and operations of THLA’s 5 participating degree programs’, i.e.: MSW, MFT, Human Services, Clinical Psychology, and School and College Counseling, practice education teams; track and evaluate the standing of THLA Scholarships recipients in program and after graduation; co-develop reporting priorities to meet the goals of THLA, the funder, and the university-at-large; identify opportunities for the expansion of CSUDH practice education partnerships; and meet with THLA Core team members and THLA participating degree programs during regularly scheduled meetings.
The PESA duties may include, but will not be limited to supporting the management and coordinating the tasks of single or multiple practice education teams, depending on THLA identified deliverables; act as intermediary between THLA and participating departments while overseeing data management; manage and report on student retention rates, THLA scholarship tracking, internship tracking by Service Planning Area, population served, etc.; create, clean, update, and manage Exxat databases and comprehensive datasets and reports for funding purposes; oversee data integrity; implement and maintain periodic quality control procedures (identifies and manually updates data gaps); interfaces with THLA’s five participating departments; maintain data cleanliness and continuity, report progress to THLA leadership; participate in any internal and external audits or reviews of THLA deliverables; and perform other duties as assigned, i.e.: community engagement and outreach.
Salary Range: $67,000-70,000 (Non-Exempt)

Employment at TAP is on an at-will basis and can be terminated by either an employee or TAP at any time with or without cause or advanced notice. Permanent status can neither be obtained nor granted.
