American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a motivated Torch Operator to join our team in Cleveland, OH. You will operate torch equipment to cut and trim metal pieces while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has basic torch operation knowledge, strong attention to detail, and the stamina to stand and bend for long periods, outdoors in varying weather. Prior metalworking or fabrication experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience in metalworking, welding, or fabrication preferred but not required.
• Basic understanding of torch equipment operation and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to stand and bend for long periods and lift objects.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operating torch equipment to cut and trim different metal materials.
• Setting up and preparing torch equipment and ensuring proper safety measures.
• Performing cutting tasks with precision and inspecting finished workpieces.
• Assisting with material handling and securing workpieces.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area and proper storage of equipment and materials.
