Job summary

The MIL Corporation seeks a Journeyman Systems Security Engineer to support a federal government client at NAS Patuxent River in Patuxent River, MD. This on-site role is currently eligible for a Compressed Work Schedule (CWS) and may change based on contract requirements.

Responsibilities include CPI identification, architecture modeling, protective-architecture documentation, and coordinating with DoD and service agencies to ensure protection requirements are met.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in systems engineering including SSE and related role.
• Knowledge applying systems engineering methods to weapon systems development.
• Experience with DoD systems life-cycle processes and acquisitions.
• Knowledge of SSE and cyber security related to weapon systems and platforms.
• Understanding of systems engineering processes and applications.
• DoD acquisitions experience is highly desired.
• Knowledge of model-based and digital engineering transformations is desirable.
• Master's degree in a related scientific or technical discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in identification of CPI and determination of consequence of compromise.
• Conduct critical analysis and modeling on proposed architectures.
• Document protective architectures.
• Develop and advocate contractual requirements for developmental programs.
• Evaluate weapon system architectures for protection standards compliance.
• Coordinate with program, service, DoD agencies to ensure protection requirements are met.
• Assist Navy V&V team with assessment of designs and solutions.
• Support program risk management, mitigation and reporting.
• Communicate across technical teams to share information and accelerate development.
• Serve as a TRB member providing SSE expertise.
