Job summary

CACI is seeking a Senior CIWS Systems Engineer for a part-time role at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. You will provide expert systems engineering guidance across the lifecycle, addressing design improvements, maintenance planning, test development, and fielded system performance.

You will collaborate with Government and OEM teams to resolve complex issues, review technical artifacts, support field-ready readiness, and mentor junior engineers while upholding security and program objectives.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of CIWS engineering experience.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems/ Electrical/ Mechanical engineering.
• Experience reviewing engineering documentation and providing technical recommendations.
• Experience supporting design improvements, maintenance planning, and obsolescence management.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level systems engineering expertise for the CIWS program.
• Review and evaluate engineering documentation for technical accuracy and program alignment.
• Support Government and OEM teams in implementing design improvements to enhance performance and supportability.
• Develop and refine maintenance requirements and test plans.
• Address obsolescence issues affecting lifecycle readiness.
• Analyze software and electronics issues and provide resolution recommendations.
• Collaborate with Government, OEMs, production and sustainment teams.
