The MIL Corporation is seeking a Systems Administrator (Senior Associate) to support a Federal Government client at our Patuxent River, MD location. The Systems Administrator will interface between the RDT&E network and its external labs, performing System Administration and support.

This position currently requires an on-site schedule with 5 days on-site. Position may require flexible weekend and/or evening shift work, as needed.

Qualificações

• 10+ years of experience in system administration of LAN/WAN, network security, maintenance, monitoring, requirements planning, scheduling, CM, and documentation management.
• Active Security+ CE certification is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Regularly able to lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 40 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure, administer, support and maintain Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Administer and support VMware server/cluster environment.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems; coordinate resolution with internal and external resources.
• Document maintenance, repair and test activities; update SOPs and project docs.
• Follow change control procedures for new implementations and changes.
• Create and maintain reports, schematics, system documentation, diagrams, and SOPs.
• Create and maintain user accounts, and install hardware/software.
• Monitor LAN/WAN status and circuit switching systems.
• Perform QA evaluations to ensure compliance with technical orders.
• Analyze equipment capabilities and performance, diagnose and repair problems.
• Research data and develop analytical techniques and methodologies.
