Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking mid-level and senior Software Engineers to develop, integrate, deploy and sustain satellite ground software on our Dulles, VA campus. A Top Secret clearance is required at the time of application, and the role is onsite.

You will perform full stack development across OS/platform layers, building client/server apps and services using Python, C++, Bash, Postgres, Ansible, and cloud tooling. Collaboration and rigorous engineering discipline are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) with 5 years of experience; or a master’s degree with 3 years; PhD also considered.
• Demonstrated software development experience with Python, C++, Bash scripting.
• U.S. Citizenship and a current or active Top-Secret clearance at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Full stack development across OS, platform, and mission-unique software layers.
• Develop client/server applications and services with OO or service-based architectures.
• Work with Python, C++, Bash, Postgres, Ansible, and cloud provisioning.
• Support ground software operations, testing, and defect remediation.
• Coordinate configurations and deployments across development, test, and operational environments.
• Contribute to test automation and acceptance test events.
• Assist with ground software integration and launch readiness.
