Job summary

inflowhi is seeking a seasoned SQL Database Administrator to support DoD and government contracts in Fairfax County, VA. You will manage MS SQL Server environments, enforce security and DISA STIGs, and ensure high availability for critical government data across multiple networks.

A TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is required. You will lead a team, mentor junior personnel, and implement robust backup, recovery, and capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret / SCI clearance required with CI polygraph
• 8+ years of SQL database administration experience in production environments
• 5+ years installing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server in High Availability configurations
• 5+ years with T-SQL; ability to write scripts, stored procedures, triggers, and views
• 3+ years leading teams and mentoring junior personnel
• 3+ years implementing security measures and DISA STIGs
• DoD 8140.03 IAT Level II/Intermediate certification

Responsibilities

• Provide database administration and management for MS SQL Server across networks supporting .NET apps
• Maintain MS SQL Server performance, integrity, and security with daily system checks
• Apply latest DISA STIGs to SQL servers and instances
• Maintain data replication using availability groups and related tech
• Develop and maintain database documentation and recovery plans
• Monitor trouble tickets and provide after-hours on-site support as needed
• Produce data models, ER diagrams, and data flow documentation
• Configure connectivity tools and test new DBMS versions for deployment
• Plan capacity and storage needs, oversee backups and restore testing
• Ensure least-privilege access and monitor user security
• Collaborate with stakeholders to map logical to physical databases
• Other duties as assigned
