Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Microsoft SQL DBaaS Engineer to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, MD, or Sterling, VA. The role focuses on providing a roadmap for future DBaaS infrastructure, SQL Server management, and data migration within enterprise SQL server farms and standalone databases.

Ideal candidates have TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility, DoD 8570 IAT Level II certifications, and 8+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a polygraph.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline + 8 years’ experience or equivalent combination.
Experience in design, development and implementation of software development tools and systems; data usage and workflows; requirements derivation from users and management.

Responsibilities

Guide users in formulating requirements and conduct feasibility studies.
Analyze user requirements, OPS docs and high-level architectures to develop system requirements.
Lead design and development activities.
Plan and integrate system engineering and test plans.
Revise existing systems and ensure data integrity and storage efficiency.
Interact with Government on SE aspects and resolve conflicts.
Document, test, and maintain system updates and configurations.
