Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Software Engineer to support a long-term DIA-NDOC DOMEX Technology Platform (DTP) contract. The role involves working closely with Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, Architects, and Operations Engineering/Manager on a broad scope of activities including middle-tier and backend engineering tasks.

The position requires innovation, collaboration, and professional development within a mission-focused and solutions-oriented team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4–8 years of related experience or Master's with 2–6 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask).
• Experience with containerization, especially Docker.
• Experience in ETL processes.
• Linux environment experience and Bash scripting.
• Strong RESTful APIs and microservice architecture knowledge.
• Hands-on Kubernetes deployment, monitoring, and debugging.
• Understanding of design patterns, security practices, and logging/monitoring.
• Familiarity with Git and PR-based collaboration.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins).
• Strong written and verbal communication; AGILE mindset.
• Team player; capable self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python microservices.
• Implement Kafka-based message consumers and producers.
• Integrate Elasticsearch for real-time and batch indexing and queries.
• Write unit and integration tests for reliability and coverage.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and deploy services in Kubernetes clusters.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and architecture planning.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production issues with observability tools.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Apply appropriate dev methodologies for development, integration, and production.
• Foster collaboration to deliver quality services to customers.
