Base-2 Solutions seeks a Software Engineer to support a DIA-NDOC DOMEX Technology Platform contract in Bethesda, MD. You will work closely with systems and software engineers on backend tasks, middleware, and data processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience or Master's with 6+ years.
• Proficiency in Python and backend frameworks (FastAPI/Flask).
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and ETL processes.
• Strong RESTful API and microservice architecture knowledge.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (GitLab/Jenkins).
• Security+ and TS/SCI clearance eligibility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python microservices.
• Implement Kafka producers/consumers and data indexing with Elasticsearch.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and deploy to Kubernetes clusters.
• Write unit/integration tests and ensure code quality.
• Collaborate in design reviews, architecture planning, and documentation.
• Support monitoring, observability, and incident response.
