Base-2 Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to safeguard systems supporting national defense and mission-critical operations. The role emphasizes security design, risk management, and compliance with DoD/NIST policies, requiring TS/SCI with FSP and an on-site presence in Annapolis Junction, MD.

The ISSE will develop security solutions, conduct risk and vulnerability assessments, prepare SSPs/SARs, and coordinate with government customers.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing RMF and NIST SP 800-53 controls in DoD/IC environments.
• Proficiency with vulnerability assessment tools and security testing.
• Ability to author SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms, and RMF documentation.

Responsabilités

• Develops and maintains security solutions for complex systems ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Performs risk assessments and vulnerability management across systems.
• Supports security architecture with DoD policies and NIST guidelines.
• Collaborates with system architects, software and network engineers to embed security requirements.
• Creates and maintains SSPs, SARs, and RMF artifacts.
• Monitors security controls and ensures compliance with NIST SP 800-53, ICD 503, CNSS standards.
• Advises on improving security posture and responds to incidents.
• Engages in security testing, evaluation, and C&A activities.
• Interfaces with government customers to convey technical security strategies.
