Job summary

Peraton is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. The role focuses on information assurance, system security, and vulnerability assessment across multiple enclaves.

The ideal candidate holds a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, a CISSP certification, and extensive ISSE experience, including system administration and security planning for enterprise-level networks and applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline required.
• 4 years of additional ISSE experience may substitute for a BS degree, totaling 18 years of ISSE experience.
• Minimum of 14 years' experience as an ISSE required.
• Active CISSP certification required.
• Ability to accommodate shiftwork including weekend support.
• Experience providing system administration support, security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management.
• Knowledge/design of systems or networks across multiple enclaves with differing data protection/classification requirements.
• Experience recommending system-level solutions to resolve security and sys admin requirements.
• Ability to support the Government in enforcing trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and programmatic information assurance and system administration services to internal and external customers.
• Deliver information security solutions to facilitate secure data flows and detect/prevent unauthorized behaviors.
• Perform system security vulnerability assessments and solution development.
• Provide enterprise-level network, server, desktop, and application security services.
• Support security design and enforcement across multiple enclaves.
