Base-2 Solutions is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to support modernization of a government information system. You will design and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, manage artifact repositories, and build Solr clusters with ZooKeeper in production.

The role emphasizes Windows Server administration, AWS cloud services, and infrastructure-as-code practices. You will orchestrate migration from on-prem VMware to AWS and implement secure, scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Nexus repository management.
• Experience building Solr clusters with ZooKeeper in production.
• Strong Windows Server administration and AWS services expertise.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for deployments.
• Automate deployments across development, staging, production.
• Manage Nexus Repository for artifacts and dependencies.
• Develop IaC solutions with CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Build and maintain Solr clusters with ZooKeeper.
• Plan migration from on-premises VMware to AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Configure AWS services like EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and related components.
• Develop containerization strategies for Java apps.
• Implement configuration management tools and security controls.
• Monitor performance and optimize systems.
