Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks a Proposal Manager 1 in the Dulles, VA area to lead compliant, timely proposals for high-priority government and commercial opportunities. The role requires coordinating cross-functional teams, managing risk, and delivering compelling submissions that win new business.

The candidate will apply proven proposal planning strategies on sector-wide initiatives, collaborate with capture leads, and work closely with leaders across divisions to ensure bid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of relevant experience, including 2+ years in a proposal leadership role on competitive proposals
• Knowledge of the U.S. Government’s competitive acquisition process including FAR/DFAR
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint Online
• Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance at time of application
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects with accountability for outcomes and risk management
• Ability to influence at all levels in a cross-functional organization

Responsibilities

• On-time, compliant delivery – Own the schedule and quality of every proposal, ensuring all requirements are met
• Process rigor and risk management – Apply and tailor established proposal processes, mitigating risk
• Strategic proposal planning – Develop and execute plans for complex solicitations from government, international, and commercial customers
• Capture partnership – Align with capture leaders to assess bid readiness and translate capabilities into proposals
• Cross-functional leadership – Coordinate dispersed teams to produce cohesive submissions
• Continuous improvement – Drive proposal-process enhancements and deliver training across the sector
