Job summary
Guidehouse is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our Washington, DC team, supporting DoJ and related matters. The role involves legal research, discovery management, and assisting attorneys across all phases of litigation, with emphasis on eDiscovery and preservation duties.
The position requires a Paralegal Certificate or JD/MLS, 2+ years of experience, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "TOP SECRET" clearance.
- GED or High School Diploma is required.
- Paralegal Certificate or JD/MLS/JM or Bachelor's in Legal Studies or related field required.
- Two (2) or more years of paralegal experience required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all phases of litigation, including discovery requests and responses; draft motions and briefs.
- Organize exhibits and assist with trial preparation and strategy.
- Review materials in discovery for relevancy and privilege; prepare privilege logs.
- Conduct legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw and PACER; summarize transcripts of hearings for attorneys.
- Prepare and issue preservation notices and litigation holds; support e-discovery workflows.
