Job summary

Visionist, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Full-Stack Software Engineer to support a high-security PRIME contract at Fort Meade, MD. This role requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and offers impactful work on mission-critical analytics tools.

You will develop web applications and data transforms across diverse data types, collaborate with customers to gather requirements, and help analysts derive the right questions from complex data. Competitive benefits and paid time off are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree.
• 12 years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and React or another modern frontend framework such as Angular or Vue.
• Experience using Python for application development, scripting, and data manipulation.
• Experience working with SQL and multiple database technologies, including SQLite, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Experience working directly with customers to gather and define requirements.
• Experience using Git and GitLab for source control.
• Knowledge of dataframe libraries such as Pandas or Polars.

Responsibilities

• Develop web applications that intuitively convey data and analysis
• Develop data transforms across a variety of data types and sources, including text, JSON, databases, XML, and configuration files
• Facilitate customer interactions to gather feature requests, define new application requirements, and understand project and customer needs
• Develop a deep understanding of mission objectives and data to help analysts identify the right questions to ask
• Maintain and architect existing and new applications and data transforms to improve the understanding and presentation of analytics and data
• Manage and support mission-critical servers, contributing to server framework development and providing system administration support as needed
