Job summary

Shield AI in the United States is seeking a Facility Security Officer to lead the organization’s industrial security program for classified government contracts.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for facility security matters, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, DoD regulations, and customer requirements, including personnel security and documentation controls. A TS clearance is required to perform this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• 4–8 years of industrial security or security management experience
• Experience as FSO or Assistant FSO in cleared defense environments
• Strong knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA processes, and handling procedures
• Experience using government security systems (DISS/N BIS/NISS) and interpreting DD254s

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee the industrial security program per NISPOM and government requirements
• Liaise with DCSA, government security reps, and internal leadership on security matters
• Manage personnel security actions, including clearance processing and access determinations
• Maintain security records in DISS, NBIS, and other systems
• Develop and maintain facility security policies, procedures, and training
• Conduct security training and insider threat awareness for cleared personnel
• Oversee document control, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified materials
• Ensure security for closed areas, secure rooms, alarms, and storage containers
• Support inspections, audits, and corrective action plans
• Coordinate classified visit certifications and foreign travel/security reporting
• Assist programs with DD254s and security requirements implementation
• Support insider threat activities and coordinate with cybersecurity as needed
• Maintain readiness for DCSA assessments and resolve findings
