Job summary

Avint invites a highly experienced Cybersecurity SME to join our team, acting as a senior advisor on RMF implementation for DoD programs. This role requires DoD 8570 IAM III certification, a Master’s degree, and at least 15 years of cybersecurity experience with 5+ in the DoD.

The successful candidate will lead cybersecurity program development, oversee A&A activities, coordinate with security leadership, and mentor junior staff while representing the Avint brand with clients.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field
• DoD 8570 compliant IAM level III certification
• 15 years of experience, of which 5 must be in the DoD
• Expert knowledge of RMF and CSF and supporting standards
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills
• Ability to organize work, build project plans and schedules
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships
• Leadership and mentorship of junior staff
• Proactive leadership for complex tasks with minimal direction
• Ability to collaborate across functional teams

Responsibilities

• Maintain overall security posture of systems within responsibility
• Assist in developing and streamlining the cybersecurity program and RMF processes
• Support RMF implementation to ensure policy compliance
• Support A&A efforts and prepare artifacts as required by DoD policies
• Develop and enhance a common controls program for inheritability evidence
• Report system assessment status and issues per guidance
• Provide direction to lower-level cybersecurity staff
• Coordinate with the security manager to address security issues
• Ensure IOs and stewards are identified for DoD information
• Maintain a repository for cybersecurity documentation
• Monitor compliance with cybersecurity policy and monitoring results
• Coordinate cyber inspections, tests, and reviews
• Implement IS security measures and incident reporting
• Record system security information into appropriate repositories
• Maintain IA and security management plans including RMF implementation
