Alpha Omega seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead ISSE activities for a federal client, driving RMF lifecycle and security engineering across DoD and DHS requirements. This role requires an active DoD SECRET clearance, U.S.

citizenship, and a strong track record in RMF, vulnerability management, and zero-trust implementations. The position is Hybrid – Washington, DC area (DC & VA) with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related cybersecurity experience in a technical field.
• Active final SECRET clearance (Tier 3 / SF-86) with ability to maintain eligibility for the duration of the task order; SF-312 required.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain CAC for continued employment.
• Proven expertise and technical leadership in cybersecurity with strong communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the designated ISSE for client information systems, OT, and hybrid cyber-physical platforms; lead RMF lifecycle from categorization through continuous monitoring.
• Develop, maintain, and manage RMF authorization packages in eMASS (SSPs, SCTMs, POA&Ms, SARs, Contingency Plans, IRPs, risk assessments, network diagrams).
• Perform Security Readiness Reviews; review vulnerability scans, track remediation, manage false positives, and coordinate DISA tickets.
• Maintain continuous monitoring and ensure compliance with DoD/DHS/USCG requirements and DISA STIGs; support cATO, evidence collection, and dashboard integration.
• Conduct Security Impact Assessments for system changes; participate in change control boards, DHS reviews, milestones, CONOPS meetings, and technical exchanges.
• Integrate Zero Trust, RMF controls, and OT/ICS security into system designs; perform security engineering analyses and risk assessments.
• Evaluate emerging threats, TTPs, OT/ICS vulnerabilities, and supply-chain risks; propose safeguards to reduce attack surface.
• Track and report status on orders from JFHQ-DoDIN, USCYBERCOM, and CGCYBER.
• Produce cybersecurity readiness updates, metrics, and executive briefings; respond to data calls.
• Provide senior technical leadership to the ISSE/SME team and submit process improvements to the COR.
• If dual-hatted Task Order PjM: act as COR contact and oversee daily operations, scheduling, and travel logistics.
