Job summary

Avint is seeking a Cybersecurity SME to serve as a senior advisor on RMF and cybersecurity within a DoD environment. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance and a strong background in RMF, CSF, and related DoD policies.

Responsibilities include maintaining security posture, guiding A&A efforts, developing common controls, and leading cybersecurity program improvements across the organization. A Master’s degree and IAM Level III certification are required, with 15+ years of experience

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• DoD 8570 compliant IAM level III certification.
• 15 years of experience, 5 in the DoD.
• Expert knowledge of RMF and CSF and related standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize work, build plans and schedules.
• Experience leading teams and client relationships.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity policies and A&A processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall security posture of systems within area of responsibility.
• Assist in developing and streamlining the organization's cybersecurity program.
• Support RMF implementation to ensure policy compliance.
• Guide A&A activities and artifacts per DoD/AF policies.
• Develop a common controls program and provide evidence for inheritance.
• Report system assessment status and issues per DoD guidance.
• Provide direction to lower-level cybersecurity staff.
