Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineers intern located in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on offensive cybersecurity, vulnerability identification, and automation through Python scripting.

Develops scripts to automate data parsing and asset management while building cryptography tooling using Python, PowerShell, and GPG. Qualified students must be enrolled full-time in a STEM degree for Fall 2027, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance to start.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in Fall 2027 in an accredited STEM program.
• GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher required.
• Available to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks in Summer 2027.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance; Top Secret clearance to start.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python scripts to automate multithreaded data parsing and digital asset management tasks.
• Create cryptography management tooling using Python, PowerShell, and GPG.
• Participate in offensive cybersecurity efforts including identifying vulnerabilities and strengthening defenses.
