Northrop Grumman is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineers intern. This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector in Tampa FL The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems. Offensive cybersecurity that involves identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in a system or network before malicious actors can, using techniques like penetration testing and red teaming to strengthen defenses. Focuses on maintaining network performance and uptime, while SOC (Security Operations Center) focuses on cybersecurity, including threat detection, analysis, and incident response Develop Python scripts to automate various LLM prompting workflows.

• Write Python scripts for multithreaded data parsing + digital asset management tasks.
• Develop usable cryptography management platform via Python, Powershell, and GPG.

Basic Qualifications

• Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2027
• Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
• Candidate Must have a Top Secret Clearance to start.

Preferred Qualifications

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
• Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular).

Intern Pay Range

• Bachelor’s: $18.50 to $33.50 per hour
• Master’s: $26.25 to $41.50 per hour

At Northrop Grumman, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account three main factors: the anticipated graduation date of the individual, the cost of labor of the geographic location, and whether the internship is considered technical or administrative.

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
