Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) Cybersecurity Division in Warminster, PA, a hybrid on-site/work-from-home role. You will support information systems security plans, risk assessments, and continuous monitoring to protect Navy, DoD, and IC data and systems.

This role requires a Top Secret level clearance or higher, familiarity with NIST SPs, and hands-on system/network administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Top Secret security clearance or higher.
• Experience auditing information systems for regulatory compliance (NIST 800-171/800-53, NISPOM).
• Strong system and network administration skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Aid in development, validation, and submission of information security plans and accreditation packages.
• Conduct risk assessments across development, test, production, and research environments.
• Perform vulnerability scanning, log review, network analysis, and incident response responsibilities as needed.
