Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a CLEARED Tier 3 Network Engineer to join a large DOD/DOE program. This onsite role in Washington DC is full-time, with duties spanning LAN/WAN design, deployment, and optimization.

You will configure routers/switches, VPN appliances, and security devices, ensuring peak performance and security across data center networks. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience, Top Secret clearance eligibility, and hands-on experience with BGP/OSPF/EIGRP and F5 load

Qualifications

4+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret clearance.
Experience with routing/switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
Experience with F5 load balancers is preferred.
IAT Level II certification (such as Security+).

Responsibilities

Install, configure, maintain, and optimize LAN and WAN infrastructure (routers, switches, VPN appliances, load balancers, security devices).
Monitor and analyze network performance; troubleshoot issues and optimize performance.
Provide design feedback and support during engineering meetings for network projects.
Manage data center network infrastructure; assist with storage and virtualization; collaborate on improvements.
Stay informed of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in communications.
