Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a CLEARED Tier 3 Network Engineer for an onsite Washington, DC role supporting a large DoD/DOE program. This full-time position requires an active TS clearance and strong routing/switching expertise.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure, configuring BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, and evaluating F5 load balancers. IAT II certification is required or preferred. Washington, DC onsite with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
Active Top Secret clearance required.
Experience with routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
F5 load balancers experience preferred.
IAT Level II certification (such as Security+)

Responsibilities

Install, configure, maintain, and optimize LAN and WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, VPN appliances, load balancers, and security devices.
Monitor and analyze network performance using network management tools, troubleshooting network issues, and optimizing performance.
Provide design recommendations, technical feedback, and support during engineering meetings to contribute to the planning and execution of network projects.
Manage data center network infrastructure, assist with storage and virtualization systems, and collaborate with relevant teams on infrastructure expansion and improvements.
Stay informed of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in communications.
