Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions seeks a CLEARED Tier 2 Network Engineer to join a large DOD program onsite in Manassas, VA. The position is full-time and requires an active Top Secret clearance. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and optimizing LAN/WAN infrastructure and supporting data center networks and virtualization.

Qualifications include 3+ years in network engineering, experience with BGP/OSPF/EIGRP, and IAT II (Security+). F5 load balancers are preferred.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Top Secret clearance.
Experience with routing/switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
F5 load balancers experience is preferred.
IAT Level II certification (Security+).

Responsibilities

Install, configure, maintain, and optimize LAN and WAN infrastructure including routers, switches, VPN appliances, load balancers, and security devices.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues using network management tools.
Provide design feedback and support during engineering meetings to contribute to network projects.
Manage data center network infrastructure and assist with storage and virtualization.
Stay informed of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in communications.
