Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking mid-level to senior Software Engineers to join our satellite ground software team at the Dulles, VA campus. Positions require TS clearance and a strong background in software development across OS and mission-specific layers.

The roles focus on development, integration, deployment, and sustainment using Python, C++, and related tools. Ideal candidates will have a STEM degree, relevant experience, and an active TS clearance; on-site work at Dulles is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) with experience; or higher degrees with relevant experience.
• Demonstrated software development experience.
• Python application development, C++, Bash scripting experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Current or active Top-Secret clearance required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Full stack development across OS, platform, and mission-specific software layers.
• Develop client/server applications using service or object-oriented architectures; include data exchange and unique capabilities.
• Work with Python, C++, Postgres, Ansible; involve cloud provisioning, PKI, static analysis, remediation.
• Self-starter able to manage budget and schedule with project goals.
• Support ground software operations, troubleshoot software and hardware issues.
• Assist with Acceptance Test events and test runs.
• Configure ground segment software and resolve defects.
• Implement software enhancements per customer requests and mission needs.
