Job summary

Autohaus Lancaster, Inc. in Lancaster County seeks Automotive VW Service Technicians/Mechanics with 2+ years' experience. The shop offers a climate-controlled environment, flat rate pay, and an average of 55+ hours per week with 45% customer pay work.

Responsibilities include performing repair and maintenance per dealer standards, diagnosing engines and electrical systems, and coordinating with parts. Benefits include major medical insurance, paid vacation/sick days, 401(k), and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two years of automotive service technician experience preferred.
• Volkswagen Service Technician experience required, at least 1 year.
• General mechanical skills.
• Pennsylvania State and Emissions Inspection License.
• Computer proficiency.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information; ASE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency in repair/diagnosis of engines, power train, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
• Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service work.
• Road-test vehicles when requested.
• Supervise apprentices as assigned.
• Attend factory training and stay updated with bulletins.
• Keep serviced vehicles clean and showroom condition.
