Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Tools and Parts Attendant to receive, store, and issue hand tools and equipment in an industrial shop. You will maintain tool records, search for missing items, and requisition stock as needed, while inspecting items for wear and reporting damages.

A valid driver’s license and ability to operate government vehicles are required. Work is performed in a shop environment with safety and quality standards, and you may travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum one year related experience with U.S. Army combat and tactical equipment preferred.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment used in vehicle maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of warehousing concepts such as storage layout, locator systems, and material handling procedures.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, and shop supplies.
• Keep records of tools issued to and returned by workers; search for lost tools and requisition stock as needed.
• Inspect tools for wear/defects using visual checks and measuring tools, report damaged equipment.
• Mark and identify tools and equipment with identification tags or engravings.
