Acro Service Corporation is seeking a tools and fixtures design engineer for a 12-month contract in Palmdale, CA. You will coordinate design and fabrication requirements with customers, both internal and external, and assist the Product Development Team to ensure manufacturability and validate processes.

You will develop manufacturing processes and plans for tool fabrication, and manage all project phases from design to validation, applying Catia CAD skills, GD&T, and standard drawing practices.

Formación

• 3+ years of Catia design experience with high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing.
• Familiarity with ANSI and ISO standards for drawings.
• Experience designing castings, stampings, and turned components.
• GD&T knowledge and proper application to drawings.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to manage technical details.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Duration: 12 Months contract with a great possibility of extension or Conversion possible with good performance.

Pay Rate : $56/hour on W2

Responsibilities

• Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
• Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
• Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing).
• Familiarity with Industry Standards related to Detailed Drawing Requirements, ANSI, ISO, etc.
• Knowledgeable in designing of castings, stampings and turned components
• GD&T knowledge (it’s understanding and usage) in order to properly apply the rules to drawings
• Efficient in writing, communication and ability to manage technical details
• Proficient with Microsoft office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
