Job summary

Infosoft Inc. is assisting a large aerospace industry manufacturer in Palmdale, seeking a CATIA Design Engineer. You will coordinate design and fabrication requirements, develop test plans, and support manufacturability efforts.

Responsibilities include managing all project phases from design through fabrication and validation, creating process plans for tool fabrication, and applying GD&T and industry drawing standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CATIA design experience.
• Familiarity with Detailed Drawing Requirements, ANSI/ISO.
• Knowledgeable in GD&T and geometric tolerancing.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Experience with castings, stampings, and turned components.

Our client is a large Aerospace Industry Manufacturer.

We are looking for a CATIA Design Engineer.

• Coordinate design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
• Coordinate/develop & execute test plans
• Develop & evaluate process improvements
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability and validate process/technology.
• Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
• Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.

Must-have skills:

• CATIA
• Applied knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project)

Requirements:

• 3+ years of CATIA design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing).
• Familiarity with Industry Standards related to Detailed Drawing Requirements, ANSI, ISO, etc.
• Knowledgeable in designing castings, stampings, and turned components
• GD&T knowledge (its understanding and usage) in order to properly apply the rules to drawings
• Efficient in writing, communication, and ability to manage technical details
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
