Job summary

RADgov Inc. in Palmdale, CA seeks a design engineer with strong CATIA experience to support tooling and fixture development. You will detail, model, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure manufacturability.

You will develop manufacturing processes and plans for tools and equipment, oversee project phases from design to validation, and apply GD&T and industry standards to ensure high-quality drawings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Catia design experience (3D modeling and detailing).
• Familiarity with industry standards (ANSI, ISO).
• Knowledgeable in designing castings, stampings and turned components.
• GD&T knowledge and application in drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Applied knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project).

Responsibilities

• Coordination of design and fabrication requirements for tools and fixtures with customers, both internal and external
• Assist Product Development Team with new product designs to ensure manufacturability, validate process/technology.
• Developing manufacturing processes, plans, and procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment in support of our process work instructions and visual aids of our shop planning process and other functions that affect product performance.
• Managing all phases of project: design, document, fabricate, assemble, and validate.

Basic Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Catia design experience (high proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing).
• Familiarity with Industry Standards related to Detailed Drawing Requirements, ANSI, ISO, etc.
• Knowledgeable in designing of castings, stampings and turned components
• GD&T knowledge (it’s understanding and usage) in order to properly apply the rules to drawings
• Efficient in writing, communication and ability to manage technical details
• Proficient with Microsoft office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
