Jobvite, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Coordinator to safely and efficiently perform general operator duties at the project site.

The role involves heavy interaction with rental vendors, site personnel and drivers, ensuring equipment readiness and accurate tracking across multiple logs. You will coordinate maintenance, inspections and repairs with internal teams and third-party vendors in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years general or solar construction experience.
  • 1+ years equipment management experience.
  • Proficient with MS Excel and Procore.
  • English language proficiency and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Answer calls from rental vendors, site personnel and drivers.
  • Update On-Site Equipment Tracker, Equipment Downtime Log and Missing Equipment Daily Inspection Log daily.
  • Review Weekly Recharge and compare with the on-site equipment tracker.
  • Enter requests for new equipment and call off current on-site equipment via ToolWatch.
  • Communicate with discipline superintendents and foremen on equipment status and tracker accuracy.
  • Coordinate between project sites and vendors for maintenance, repairs and downtime issues.
  • Receive and conduct inbound/outbound inspections and review inspections for accuracy; coordinate repairs as needed.
  • Assist onsite mechanic with coordinating repairs and contacting third-party vendors or fleet for service.

Summary:

Responsible for safely and efficiently performing general operator duties at the project site.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Taking calls from rental vendors, project site personnel and delivery/pickup driver personnel throughout the day.
  • Updating the following trackers daily:
    • On-Site Equipment Tracker
    • Equipment Down Time Log
    • Missing Equipment Daily Inspection Log
  • Reviewing Weekly Recharge and comparing it to on-site equipment tracker.
  • Entering in requests for new equipment and calling off current onsite equipment via Tool Watch application.
  • Communicating with discipline superintendents and foremen for follow up and review of current status of equipment and compare that to on-site equipment tracker for accuracy.
  • Coordination between project sites and F&E/rental vendors for preventative maintenance, repairs and any other equipment down time issues.
  • Receiving and conducting inbound and outbound inspections on each new piece of equipment arriving or piece of equipment being returned for cleanliness, fuel level and damage assessment and fulfilling the inbound/outbound inspections on Procore. Reviewing daily operator’s inspections for accuracy and completeness and looking for any potential issues with equipment that need to be addressed and repaired.
  • Assisting onsite mechanic with coordinating repairs to equipment onsite and/or calling 3rd Party Vendors or Fleet and Equipment group for repair requests.
Requirements for Equipment Coordinator
  • Years of General and/or Solar Construction Experience: 2+ yrs
  • Years of Equipment Management Experience: 1+ yrs
  • Strong Software Program skills such as with MS Excel and Adobe or Blue Beam
  • Knowledgeable with using Procore
  • Inventory Management: 1-2+ years
  • Must be able to handle phone calls with vendors and internal teams, attend meetings and provide status of equipment on site
  • Must be able to understand, speak and write in English
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good Driving Record as they will be assigned a Fleet Truck for use
Preferences for Equipment Coordinator
  • General Knowledge of Preventative Maintenance
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Able to operate equipment such as skid steer, telehandler, etc.
  • Experience with purchasing parts or experience as a parts runner
  • General Tool Knowledge
  • Size of Solar Projects worked on: 50MW or larger
  • Number of Equipment Managed: 25pcs+
  • Experience with HeavyJob and HeavyJob Manager a plus
  • Experience with using ToolWatch application

Construction site environment includes early stage permitting, development and auditing through finished roads and features. Extensive travel with driving to remote sites along with office work in field conditions is also included.
