Job summary

Akima Facilities Operations (AFO) seeks a on-site Tool Room / Inventory Support member at Fort Sill to receive, store, issue, and maintain tools and equipment. You will work with mechanics and staff to locate parts, manage records, and support maintenance tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma and strong organizational and communication skills, with physical ability for lifting and handling tools. OSHA and safety compliance are essential in this environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Some experience in tool management or inventory control preferred.
• Basic understanding of measuring, hand and machine tools.
• Good record-keeping and possibly computer skills for tracking inventory.
• Physical ability to handle and arrange tools, including lifting.
• Clear communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to keep simple records and perform arithmetic accurately.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect deliveries of tools, parts and equipment.
• Organize and manage storage and inventory of tools and parts.
• Issue tools and equipment to staff with proper check-out/check-in documentation.
• Coordinate maintenance, calibration, and repair of tools.
• Maintain logs of usage, inventory movements and tool conditions.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with regulations.
