Job summary

Talon Technical Services seeks a disciplined Tool Room Attendant in Fort Irwin, CA to manage daily tool room operations, including ordering, receiving, issuing, and return of unserviceable tools.

You will perform inventories, coordinate calibration submissions, maintain tool custody, and support shop supply needs; you will also train teammates and uphold safety, QA, and COPs, per company policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
• Must be knowledgeable in computer and other office equipment usage.
• Must understand and be able to use Technical Manuals.

Responsibilities

• Issues, receives, orders, turns in of unserviceable tools, stores maintains tools and tool room per DA PAM 710-2.
• Performs cyclic inventories of tools and equipment issued from the tool room.
• Performs tool box inventories as required for issuing and turn-in for employees.
• Submits items to calibration and returns them to the tool room as completed.
• Order shop supplies through the supervisor (rags, paper towels, soap, etc.).
• Performs clean-up duties and polices the shop areas as assigned.
• Supports/ participates in the Company Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) and QA program.
• Mentors and assists with on-the-job training and cross-training.
